Day 2 Amsterdam

After waking again at 4.30, we sorted out our bags, in preparation for our flight in the afternoon to Amsterdam.  We then had a yummy buffet breakfast, explored the hotel (not much to do except take crazy photos in a photo booth and walk around the grounds) and downloaded some movies for the flight.
As there wasn't enough time to go into the city we took an earlier shuttle to Terminal 2 to do some duty free shopping.  Neil was keen to get some alcohol for our friends Alistair and Kay, who we were meeting at an Air BnB in Amsterdam, but the prices were crazy, so he drank four double bourbons in the Premier Plus lounge instead.
At 1.35 pm we boarded flight KE925, bound for Amsterdam.  The plane was bigger, a 777-300, and we had nicer wine and more of it.  The food was still unusual, with one course being just lettuce. What?  Also I was the only female in Business Class so the toilet seat was always up.  Yuck.
However it was a good flight, again around about 10 hours, and we arrived in the early evening.
The airport train took us three stops to Amsterdam Centraal, and then we got the Tram 26 to IJburg, an artificial island suburb where we were staying.  The owners gave us totally wrong directions once we were off the tram, and they were a little quirky, but friendly enough.  The place was full of their stuff, as happens sometimes, but there was plenty of room for two couples.
We went food shopping  at Deet, the local supermarket, before falling into bed.  Body clock time it would have been around 7 am.
